(Y/n) was invited by her Boss Bulma to her birthday party. She didn’t like being a social butterfly, minding her business, and didn’t go out much besides her workplace, food, and events.
No one took notice of her, She was like a background character. It didn’t matter to her, She didn’t mind if no one noticed her. She likes it that way.
Now she’s at the party of her boss, The workers were there too, however, their party was on the other side of the building which (Y/n) was supposed to join, However, She got dragged by Bulma’s child Trunks and taken her to Bulma.
She didn’t know why and how he brought her here. Next thing she knew her boss who barely interacted with her at work was friendly and introduced her to friends and family.
“Y-You know me…?” (Y/n) squeaked out barely hiding her shock.
Bulma tilted her head. “Of course, I know you, (N/n), How can I forget you?”
(N/n)? Why was she calling her (n/n)?
She couldn’t understand what was going on but she didn’t question and just meekly nodded at people who warmly greeted her. Once meeting them, She is taken to the table by a woman named Chichi, who grabs a plate to fill food for her. (Y/n) didn’t have it in her to stop the kind lady and take the plate she filled it for her.
It took her hours to get away from them. They were nice, warm, and friendly. Never had she met anyone like these people before.
Sighing, She sneaks away and takes a walk around.
Meanwhile, King Kai planet Beerus was disappointed by the Saiyan. What a fool. He lands on the ground and stares at Goku who’s not moving. He isn’t dead yet.
“Shall we go, Lord Beerus?” Whis asks, appearing beside him.
“Yeah, Let’s go and ask Prince Vegeta” Beerus grabs Whis back and smiles at King Kai who was panicking. “See you later” Ha, Sometimes he loves messing around.
Whis taps his staff on the ground and they fly off the planet heading toward Planet Earth.
Back on Earth, Vegeta was training in the gravity room when he heard a voice and stopped his training. It was King Kai who informed him about the God of Destruction, Lord Beerus. Vegeta pales as he remembers about him. Lord Beerus, the destroyer, had visited Planet Vegeta a long time ago.
‘I need to get them before anyone else does!’ Vegeta thought as he ran left the room and headed outside the party. He had ignored everyone, he looked around for them, looking under the table, flying around, trying to sense the Ki however it was futile, and found himself walking to the pool away from others.
He stops seeing someone there, A girl wearing a hoodie, pants, (H/c) short hair, (e/c) eyes, and short height. Who was that? He had never seen her before.
(Y/n) who is staring at the water in the pool feels someone staring and turns around, She stiffens. Wasn’t that man her Boss’s husband? Vega? No, that wasn’t the name. It was like Vegetable. Ooh! It’s Vegeta.
She swallows. Oh boy, did she disturb him? “I-I am sorry…I leave”
“Wait”, Vegeta steps forward. “Did you see…I mean a cat? And a man with him? Blue skin?”
(Y/n) blink. “n-no sir…”
Vegeta sighs. Well, It was worth a shot. “I-“
“Well, Well, If it isn’t Prince Vegeta!”
Vegeta and (Y/n) were startled, they looked around and saw no one.
“Over here”
They look up to see a humanoid cat and a blue-skinned man holding a staff. A-Are those two flyings?!
“H-Huh!?” (Y/n) looks shocked and takes a step back.
Vegeta pales more, he sweats and his hands shake. It was him. Lord Beerus, the destroyer. “L-Lord Beerus”
Beerus and Whis land on the ground. Beerus smirks. “Prince Vegeta, it’s been a while…”
While Beerus and Vegeta were having a conversation, Whis looked at the girl who was trying to sneak away and smile. “Hello”
(Y/n) frozen, she sees the other two busy while the blue-skinned man who would be like Smurf asks him a question. “H-Hi…”
‘Aw, she looks like a scared animal…’ Whis thought. “My name is Whis, who may you be?”
“(Y-Y/n)…sir…”
“Please call me Whis. Sir makes me sound old”
“M-Mmh…”
“Is a festival going on here?”
(Y/n) shake her head. “No, It’s a Birthday party”
“A birthday party you say? That explains the scent!” Beerus appears out of nowhere beside her.
(Y/n) squeak. Is he a ghost!?
Beerus looks amused. “So? What’s your name?”
“(Y/n)…”
“(Y/n), Won’t you be a good host and take us to the party?”
“H-Huh…” (Y/n) glances at Vegeta who makes a funny gesture, looking pale and nervous. “Okay…”
“Gosh! Let’s go!” Whis wraps his arm around her shoulder and walks.
(Y/n) had no choice, she walks with them, Why can’t she be invisible like she’s been all this time? Why do people intend to notice her? Why now?
‘I wasn’t interested in being noticed…Why are people noticing me now?!?’ (Y/n) thought conflict and sighs.
Why can’t she get a break?
“W-We are here! Everyone!” Vegeta shouts.
Everyone looks at their way, (Y/n) stiffens and looks down at the floor finding it interesting. Whis noticed this, She's quite shy.
“This is Lord Beerus and his assistant Whis! They…uh…”
Beerus steps forward. “We are Prince Vegeta’s friends!”
“Huh? Vegeta has friends?”
“Wow, he has friends…”
“Nice to meet you, lord beerus!”
“Join us!”
(Y/n) looks at Vegeta in confusion. Friends? They don’t look like they are friends. He looks ready to drop down at any minute.
Everyone warmly welcomes Beerus and Whis as they did with (Y/n), She is still confused about how people can’t see Vegeta lying and looks so scared. She is scared too, Never seen a flying cat in the sky.
“Miss (Y/n), will you show me around?” Whis says.
She snaps out of her thoughts by his voice and looks at him. “S-Sure”
“Let’s go”
“Yes”
(Y/n) and Whis walks away from the others, She takes him to the food stand where she shows him the menu and dishes. Whis excitedly looks over the menu and hears her explaining about the dishes.
“Why don’t you try chicken fried rice?”
“Ooh, Yes please”
They took their seats, and (y/n) ordered two chicken fried rice. The chef came and gave them two large plates.
“It looks good”
“Yeah! Try it”
Whis grabs the spoon, fills it with rice on the spoon and eats. He chews. “Mmmh! It’s so good!”
(Y/n) smiles and eats as well. She always likes chicken fried rice. It wasn’t her favorite dish though. Anything she can eat, She isn’t a picky eater.
“Can I have another plate, please?”
She chokes. She hasn’t even finished yet! Looking at Whis who looks like a kid and thanks the chef who brought him more rice. He eats again.
Huh, he has a big appetite.
As she finished her plate, Whis was on the third and finished as well. He wipes his mouth with the napkin he grabs and smiles at her. “Shall we check out other food stands?”
‘He’s still hungry?’ She was surprised. ‘Oh well, I am not his parent’ She gets up. “Okay, follow me”
It’s weird why she hasn’t walked away from him and refused to accompany him. Maybe the reason why she’s here is because he’s quiet, minds his business, and somehow friendly.
‘Or maybe I am scared…’ She thought. It’s quite obvious, Are these guys demons or something? Magician? She looks at Whis who’s looking around excitedly and pointing at the food stalls where he wants to try out. ‘Who are they?’
“U-Uhm…Whis…who are you guys exactly?”
“I am an angel. Lord Beerus is God of Destruction”
“……” Right, they are cosplayers.
“Ooh! What’s that?”
“Huh? Oh, that’s steak…I didn’t notice they also have steak here…”
“It smells good! Let’s go over there”
(Y/n) didn’t have time to respond as Whis grabbed her hand and walked over to the direction of the food stand where they were grilling the steak and doing BBQ.
When did he grab her hand?
They reach the food stand and Whis orders two steaks. She looks down at the hand which is still being held by Whis and looks up at him. Why?
Whis hasn’t realized he’s still holding her hand and just asks about the dishes from the chef.
(Y/n) blush and look down at the floor. She had never been with a guy before, everyone found her nerdy and she wasn’t interested in dating since her love for science kept her busy.
It’s the first time she's with a guy who’s a weirdo. Well, it’s not bad.
“Hey (Y/n) do you like steak?” Whis looks at her, that’s when he realizes he’s holding her hand and blushes. “O-Oh!” He lets go of her hand. “My apologies, (Y/n), sometimes in my excitement I…”
(Y/n) shake her head. “It’s fine...As for the steak, yes”
“Great! I ask for extra butter and sauce!”
“Extra sauce”
“You heard the lady, Extra sauce on her steak”
Yeah, It doesn’t sound so bad at all.
